SHOW NOTES

Let’s be real — you don’t need a three-hour morning routine that involves journaling under a waterfall while doing headstands and sipping imported sea moss. That might look good on Instagram, but it doesn’t fit real life.

What you do need is something simple and consistent.
That’s where BAM Mornings come in.

BAM stands for Bare Arse Minimum — the smallest, most effective habits that gently reset your nervous system, support your hormones, and remind your body who’s in charge.

What the Heck is a BAM Morning?

It’s not a checklist to tick off.
It’s a commitment to start your day in a way that nourishes instead of depletes.

The formula is simple:

BAM =
• One nervous system reset
• One nourishing bite
• One empowering thought

Yes, it’s that simple.
Even if your hair’s a mess, the dog’s barking, and your day is already off and running.

My Go-To BAM Morning (Feel free to steal it)

Sunlight in my eyes
Natural light within 30 minutes of waking helps reset your circadian rhythm and cortisol levels. Step outside for 10 minutes if you can. No screens — real light only.

Warm lemon water or adrenal tonic
Hydrate before you caffeinate. Your body’s been dehydrated overnight. Start with something replenishing.

Intentional breathing
Use a simple breath pattern like box breathing (inhale 4, hold 4, exhale 4, hold 4) or 4-7-8 breathing. Just one minute can calm your nervous system.

Play your glimmer song
You know the one. The song that brings joy, nostalgia, or calm. Play it while you shower, make breakfast, or just sit still. Let it be your spark.

Eat something real
Protein and fat in the morning help stabilise blood sugar. Think scrambled eggs, chia pudding, protein shakes, or nut butter on wholegrain toast. You don’t need fancy — you need fuel.

The Real Deal

Your BAM Morning doesn’t have to look the same every day. Life is messy. But giving yourself even five minutes to come back to your breath, your body, your power can change everything.

It’s not the cortisol.
It’s not the to-do list.
It’s not the chaos.
It’s you. You run the show.

We deserve calm starts to our days. That’s not a luxury — it’s health insurance.
