The 4-7-8 breathing technique involves breathing in for 4 seconds, holding the breath for 7 seconds, and exhaling for 8 seconds.

It is a form of pranayama, which is the practice of breath regulation.

Use breathing as a form of pattern interrupt to help you create a new default when worrying or anxious and feeling fearful.

Create a system where every hour or hour and a half you stop and take one minute to do 3 rounds of 4-7-8 breathing.

Do it for 66 days to create a new ingrained habit that will help create a new default when you worry or feel fearful. It can take you that long to create a new default habit and it’s worth it.
