SHOWNOTES

This self-sabotage comes from limited beliefs that we develop throughout our lives.

These beliefs focus on our fears, values, and experiences.

I can’t do that

I’m not good enough for that

I’m too old

When we have a negative belief, we may struggle to take risks or be successful because it reinforces the belief that we are not worthy or important.

This can lead to avoidance of situations, self-doubt, and even depression.

5 ways to stop self sabotage

1. Acknowledge Your Feelings: Take the time to pause and evaluate the emotions you’re experiencing. Once you are able to uncover the root of the feeling, you can start to take the necessary steps to manage it in a healthy manner.

2. Reframe Your Thoughts: Begin to pay attention to the way you talk to yourself. Replace the negative thoughts with positive or realistic statements.

3. Prioritize Self-Care: Make yourself a priority and fulfill your physical, emotional, and mental needs without guilt or shame.

4. Take Action: Name an action in advance so that when you go to self-sabotage you can build a default to action over sabotage. It gets easier over time

5. Practice Self-Compassion: Be gentle with yourself by practicing self-compassion rather than self-criticism. Show yourself kindness and understanding so that you can make long-lasting changes.
