Tell the truth, you sang along didn’t you, and your mind went to sing the next line as well.

Have you ever thought about the fact that no one ever gives you the lyrics to a song and yet you know all of the words to your fav’s. Hmmmmm. Why is it so? Well its because of this thing called “Spaced Repetition”. This is where you hear it on the radio or your device etc over and over and each time you hear it you take in a few more words. Pretty cool hey.

The thing is….. it’s the same with what you say to your self over and over through your day. That mind chatter. You know the kind, I’m not good enough, i don’t know anything, I’m too fat, too skinny, too whatever. Your body takes it all in and is listening to it and RETAINS IT and that is very not cool.

So just for today, let’s play a game and consciously keep your thoughts in check. I promise they will come up. All the regular negative mind chatter. It always does. When it does think about what you can fill your mind with instead. I am a huge fan of audio books and podcasts over music so that I am feeding in positive language and thoughts over negative ones. So if life isn’t working out so well for you right now, think about what you are feeding your mind and maybe give that a tweak. I know it was a game changer for me when I learned that.
