I CAN DO THAT

It’s that simple. Let me explain.

Play with me for a minute

Stand up. Now those of you who did not stand up please, STAND UP. If you are driving, sit up straight. I promise it’s worth it.

Now say out loud…I CAN DO THAT!

How does that feel? I have found when I say those four words it changes my physiology; I feel like I can do that!

Now lower your voice, not in the sense of making your voice softer, but your tone lower. Lowering your tone brings power to the statement.

Say it again…I CAN DO THAT!

It’s not hippie woo woo, it’s science. Practice saying it again and again as you stand or sit tall.  

Bring it into being a new habit. That’s what I did. It brings certainty that you can live into and certainty is sexy. It also raises confidence and self-esteem.

Healthy Life Hacks

So, the healthy life hack I want to leave you with today is: 

  1. Commit to finding one situation per day when you can respond to a request or question with, I CAN DO THAT! I promise I have used it for years and it works.
